For a long time Remix was one feed: open the app, swipe, repeat. Great for discovery, bad for finding. As the catalog grew past thousands of games, "I want a puzzle right now" had no good answer.
So we shipped real categories — Puzzle, Arcade, Shooter, Platformer, Sports, Word, and the rest — each with its own browsable page.
Why categories, not just tags
We didn't want a tag soup nobody maintains. Games get sorted into categories at review time, so the shelves stay accurate without creators filing paperwork.
Search got a real home in browse too — jump straight to a game or a genre instead of swiping until you find it.
