What Remix Desktop Does
Your Coding Agent, on Your Computer
Remix Desktop runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode on your machine, with the AI subscription you already pay for. Your project and a live preview sit beside it, so you play each change as it lands.
Publish to Web, iOS and Android
Publish from the same window. A phone game plays on remix.gg and in the Remix apps for iOS and Android. A desktop game plays in any computer browser and in Remix Desktop.
Desktop-Class Games
Make full-screen desktop games, 3D games built with Three.js and portal worlds, with a keyboard, a big screen and a fast machine to test them on.
Multiplayer, Leaderboards and Saves
Ask your agent and it wires up real-time multiplayer, leaderboards, achievements and cloud saves through the Remix SDK. Friends join a live room from a link or their friends list.
Trailers From Real Play
Record real play in the Video tab, trim it and upload the trailer that plays on your game’s tile and page.
Creator Dashboard
Every game you make in one place, with its versions and how much it is played.
Friends and Calls
Messages, groups and voice calls with friends, plus Discover, Remix TV and Events, so you can see what others make and ask how they did it.

Common Questions
- Can I make and publish a game with Claude Code or Codex?
- Yes. Remix Desktop runs Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode beside your game project and a live preview, and publishes the game to remix.gg and the Remix apps for iOS and Android when you say so. If you prefer your own editor, the remix command that comes with Remix Desktop lets your agent create and publish a game from the terminal.
- Is Remix Desktop free?
- Remix Desktop is free to download, and playing games on Remix is free. On the Free plan you can import a game you build with your own coding agent and publish it. Starting a new game in Remix takes a Remix plan, from $5 a month, whether Remix AI or your own agent builds it. Your own agent always runs on your own subscription.
- Do I need to know how to code?
- No. You describe the game in plain words, the agent writes the code, and you play each version in the preview and ask for changes.
- Where do games made in Remix Desktop play?
- On their own page at remix.gg, in the Remix apps for iOS and Android, and in Remix Desktop. A game made for computers plays in any computer browser and in Remix Desktop.
- Which computers does Remix Desktop run on?
- Macs with Apple Silicon or Intel on macOS 12 or later, 64-bit Windows 10 or 11, and 64-bit Linux as an AppImage.
