Leagues replace the global leaderboard
One global ladder is only fun for the person in first. Leagues put you in a small group at your level, where moving up actually feels possible.

Leagues are live
We're not fans of the classic global leaderboard. It's only fun for the top 0.01% — everyone else opens it, sees a wall of names they'll never catch, and gets the message "this isn't for you."
So we replaced it. With Leagues, you compete inside a small group of players at roughly your level. You can see the people right above and below you. Moving up a spot is achievable. Getting promoted feels like a milestone instead of a rounding error.
Why we did it
A game is supposed to be about you being in it. A leaderboard where you're permanently invisible does the opposite. Leagues shrink the competition down to a size where every session matters.
